Ampelographic characteristics
Apex bud is open, cotton-like, yellowish-green apex. Leaves: small to medium, round shaped, full or tri-lobed, with lyre-shaped stem base and very overlapping edges. Leaves are blistered, smooth on the underside.
Cluster: medium-small, cylindrical, sometimes with a wing, semi-sparse. Cultivation aptitudes
Vine of medium-low vigour with semi-erect vegetation. It adapts well to warm-temperate climates and to clayey, slightly calcareous soils.
Raising and pruning
Prefers expanded forms of cultivation and medium-long pruning but can also be trained with spurred cordon, especially using selected clones.

It gives wines of a pale straw yellow colour, high acidity, with a fruity, fresh aroma and spicy notes.
Good structure. It can produce excellent still wines, that can age well, and also sparkling wines of undoubted quality.
