Serve Riesling wine chilled at 5-7 degrees. Riesling goes well with all meals from the Alsace region. Our village of Mittelwihr is sheltered from the cold north winds by the Mandelberg, a hill whose southern flank, facing South\/South-East, enjoys optimal sunshine throughout the year. The vines rub shoulders with the almond trees which gave their name to the Mandelberg or “hill of the almond trees”, a name found on the bottles of Alsace wines from 1925.<\/p>\n

Marl-limestone soil composed of thick deposits of clay (marl) and calcareous pebbles, the power brought by the marl is supported by a beautiful acidity, long and complex. Of great nobility, the Mandelberg wines, already produced in the Gallo-Roman era, evolve towards a lemony character over time and age admirably by mineralizing, like the Riesling and Gewurztraminer that we produce.<\/p>\n
